Policies and Procedures of IPP Music

2022-2023 Season

Booking

We have already begun booking for the 2023 – 2024 season and dates are filling up quickly. We STRONGLY encourage you to book your mixes in advance in order to ensure that you get the delivery dates that you want! We have experienced unprecedented growth, and in order to provide you with the best possible service we need to plan accordingly. Visit www.ippmusic.com and click on “Booking Request” to book dates for the 2023 – 2024 season. The digital booking request form will be the ONLY way to book mixes this season. Please fill out one booking request form per team. We will email you to confirm that we have received your booking request(s) and to confirm that the dates you have requested are available. If the mix dates that you have requested are not available, we will offer you our next availability.

When submitting a booking request please make sure to include the following: program name, specific team name(s)*, mascot, colors, coed or all girl, division and program zip code and any other relevant notes to help us complete your mix. This season we will only accept the new and improved IPP 8-count sheet which can be found by visiting our website www.ippmusic.com and clicking on “8-count Sheet” on the homepage. Please do NOT take pictures of your 8-count sheets. Oftentimes they become difficult to read when printing a picture taken from a cell phone, leading to a delay in music production. Our new 8-count is a fillable PDF, but If you choose to hand write your 8-count sheet, please use either black or blue ink as the pencil becomes hard to read when printed. You can attach your 8-count sheet to the booking request form or upload to your order later on if they are not ready at the time the booking request form is completed. We will also accept full length videos (no separated clips) performed to our 8-count track which is also found on the homepage of our website. All video submissions must be submitted in .mov format. Email for more information. 

Please note, if you are unable to submit your 8-count sheets and song selections 14 days prior to your mix date or you would like to change your mix date we will try our best to accommodate you. All mix date changes, missed dates and/or late submission of routine information (8-count sheets, songs, etc.) will incur a $100 rescheduling fee. *Team name changes made subsequent to booking request form submission will be subject to a $200.00 penalty and/or recoupment of incidental damages incurred by IPP.

Packages & Pricing

Innovative Performance Productions will be offering the following pricing tiers for the 2023-2024 season:

(All custom mix packages come with free edits. See definitions below)

Standard:  The standard mixes are made to the customer’s choreography and include sound effects and 4 or 5 voiceovers based on duration (male voiceovers only). This package is great for entry level teams.

Reminder: Any sections that are not original (e.g., licensed songs from our vendor) you may hear in other routines.

Advanced: The Advanced mix features a dramatic production style with an extra emphasis on unique voiceovers. Advanced mixes contain up to eight 8-counts of additional vocals from our vocal team. Advanced mixes will have male voiceovers and female or male raps (gender upon request). This package is great for teams ready to compete at a higher level.

Elite: The Elite mix put an extreme emphasis on unique voice overs and raps. Elite mixes include an unlimited amount of voiceovers and up to 16 8-counts of raps. Vocals will include male and female voiceovers, male and female raps, and/or male and female singers (upon request). This package is great for competitive allstar teams Reminder: Any sections that are not original (e.g., licensed songs from our vendor) you may hear in other routines.
 
Semi-Custom: The semi-custom package will include 2 more custom vocal sections than our elite package. For example, you will be able to have a custom dance and pyramid song, a custom stunt and tumbling song
or any combination you desire. This package is perfect for competitive Worlds and Summit teams. Semi-Custom mixes will require your choreography to be complete. We request an 8-count sheet to be supplemented by a full-length video.

Full Custom: The full custom mix is in a category of its own! The emphasis will be on original music composition and vocals unique to each routine. Custom songs and vocals will be written, recorded, arranged, and mixed by top industry artists from around the country. This package is perfect for highly competitive Worlds and Summit teams. Full-custom mixes require your choreography to be complete. We request an 8-count sheet to be supplemented by a full-length video.

Reminder: You will not hear this content in any other routine as it was created specifically for your team.

 

Edits

An edit is any modification to the original composition.  Edits include changes to in-house voice overs and/or sound effects adjustments and are free all season.   

  • All edits will require the submission of an updated 8-count sheet and/or a current video.  Sound effect changes must be highlighted on the new 8-count sheet and/or notes provided.   
  • Edits must be submitted via your account by visiting your “Orders” tab, clicking “View Order” on the order requiring the edit & then clicking on the “Edit Request Button”.
  • All edits will require the submission of an updated 8-count sheet and/or a current video.  Sound effect changes must be highlighted on the new 8-count sheet and/or notes provided.   
  • All payments must be received prior to receiving any edits or reconstructions.
  • Edits will be delivered within 2-4 weeks of request. Rush order edits (less than 2 weeks)  will be subject to a $100 charge in addition to any edit or reconstruction fees.

If your mix requires modifications beyond adjusting in-house voice overs and/or sound effects there will additional charges.

  • Reconstruction – Shortening, lengthening, rearranging any section or specific amount of 8 count in a previously completed mix.  For example, you want to swap where your stunts and jumps were positioned in the original mix.  Reconstructions will incur a $75/hr additional fee.
  • 3rd Party Custom Vocals – Any vocals written and recorded by our contracted vocal artists.  Modifying the lyrics will incur an additional fee.  Fee assessed at the time of the request as pricing varies among vocalists.   
  • Song Swaps: If you wish to swap out a licensed song from your original music competition there will be an additional $25 per song fee. 
  • Semi-Custom/Full Custom Music Section Change: If you wish to have a new section produced for your semi-custom or full custom mix there be an additional fee assessed at the time of the request as pricing varies among content creators and recording artists.  

Song Selection

In order to comply with US Federal Copyright law as well as the USA Cheer music rules, 

we will be requiring each client to choose songs from our vendor www.songsforcheer.com. In order to submit your songs you will visit your account and click on a particular order. From there, you will see a button labelled “song selection”. Please fill out the form and submit. Please make sure to include the song title, artist and section of the routine you’d like each to be placed. The appropriate amount of songs to submit per mix length can be found in APPENDIX A

Note: If you wish to license a song from another platform, you will be responsible for procuring the song(s) and sending the mp3(s) to us via email (info@ippmusic.com).

Licensing

If you have purchased a custom mix then you will receive your specific team license at time of booking/checkout. Your license will be emailed to you. Mix licenses are non-transferable.

Re-Licensing

We will be offering re-licensing on both custom and premade mixes. Re-license for a custom mix will be $300. Mix can be used “as-is”. Meaning, no edits will be made. If you would like edits there will be a $75-hr fee. If custom raps need to be edited it will then be priced on a case-by-case basis. Premade re-licensing will be the cost of the base mix and can be used “as-is”. If additional edits need to be made then you can select the “edit” add-on at check out.

Premade Mixes

These mixes will be available for purchase on our website. You may choose to further customize your selection by adding sound effects, team specific voice overs, song swaps and/or edits to name a few.  For example, selecting the “split mix” add-on will allow you to have the mix split into 2 different music sections. Note:

  • Turn-around-time for premade mixes needing customizations will be 2 weeks from when we receive all necessary information.  
  • Rush delivery is available. 
  • Song swaps available from other IPP premade mixes.  For help regarding your premade purchases or general premade mix questions you can use our live chat feature on the website or email ippuserhelp@gmail.com.

Payment

Accepted payment methods are:
⦁ Credit Card via our invoicing software*
⦁ Check made payable to Innovative Performance Productions, LLC**
⦁ Authorized Purchase Order***
 
*Credit Cards will be subject to a 3% convenience fee.
 
**If paying via check, check must be received and payment cleared before services are rendered.
 
***Please inform us ahead of time if you will be submitting a PO and if you will require a W-9. If you are sending us a 1099 it must be received on or before February 2nd, 2023.
 
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a mix date. The balance is to be paid one week prior to your mix date. If the balance has not been paid one week prior, IPP may delay the production of your music until the full balance has been paid. 

Refunds/Cancellations

If you are not satisfied with your music you will have 48 hours from when you received your final mix to request a refund. You will receive a refund on the balance paid at time of receiving the final mix – minus any expenses incurred by IPP (e.g., third party vocals). At that time your license will be terminated.. Our participating event producers will be made aware and void that team’s specific license. A refund will not be issued if we attempt to rectify the situation immediately and within a timely manner or if IPP did not receive the information necessary to do our job efficiently (e.g., team specific information, proper count sheets & video and etc.). Furthermore, failure to comply with IPP policies and procedures will disqualify any client from receiving a refund. 

If you cancel your mix prior to your mix date then no refund will be issued as deposits are non-refundable. If you pay in-full at the time of booking then you will receive a refund in the amount of 50% of the total balance. Cancellations require a 30 day notification. If there is no notification given then no refunds will be granted regardless of amount paid at that time. 

Dance Mixes for Choreography

We strongly recommend that instead of dance cuts, you have your choreography performed/created to a song similar to something from one of our vendors or to a radio song of which we can then create something similar in sound/style. No dance cut will be created for full custom or semi-custom mixes. You may have your choreographer contact us for further help/insight.  Cut off for dance cut requests is 8/1

Delivery

You will receive your custom mix within 24-72 hours of your mix date that is agreed upon at the time of booking. For example, if your mix date is Monday then you will receive your mix by Tuesday (providing that all necessary information – counts, songs and etc were submitted). If your mix is scheduled on a Friday then you will receive it on Monday (providing that all necessary information – counts, songs and etc were submitted) . All mixes will be delivered via your account (visit the DOWNLOADS section of your account) as well as via an automated email with the customized mix(es) attached

Communication

We strive to provide our customers with excellent customer service and an open chain of communication. All emails will be answered within 1 business day. We answer emails and calls M-F 8:30am-4:30pm EST. On occasion, we do answer emails outside of this window. Please mark URGENT in the subject line if your email communication is time sensitive and sent outside of normal business hours.  Please keep all music related issues to either email, website submission or phone.  Social media contacts will be acknowledged, but nothing will be considered on the books until it is sent via email or phone call.

This season will be an amazing opportunity to provide the cheer and dance industry with the quality of music and continued customer service that is well deserved. We look forward to producing innovative tracks that inspire your athletes to perform at their best.
